Who can volunteer?

EYST offers volunteering opportunities for anyone aged 14+.  Our roles are catered for anyone from a minority background: refugees and people seeking Asylum are welcome. Unlock your full potential

Sanctuary Hub Front of house

We support individuals from various backgrounds with different issues.  Our front of house volunteer’s work as part of a team to support the smooth running of our services.  We are looking for friendly individuals who can create a welcoming atmosphere. 

Coffee Morning

We run a fortnightly coffee morning on Monday that’s aimed at providing a socialising platform for our clients.  The session runs from 10am to 11:30 on our premises in Swansea.  We are looking for volunteer to help set up and support informal English conversational sessions. Our volunteers will be helping build meaningful connections to create a sense of community and belonging.  

Volunteer interpreter

Our volunteer interpreters provided language support to help our service users to communicate with our staff.  No prior experience is necessary, as training and support will be provided.  Contact us if you speak English well and one of the key community languages: Arabic, Bengali, Kurdish Sorani, Amharic, Tigrinya, Albanian, Turkish or Ukrainian.

Homework club tutor

We provide young people, aged 11 to 16, support with core subjects: English and mathematics.  We are looking to recruit volunteers to provide our young people with 1-2-1 tuition. Volunteers will be matched with the needs of young person based on the volunteer’s skill and chosen subject. The sessions run online as well as face to face, only in Swansea.  The sessions run at set time during the year.  Contact us if you are interested in learning more about this project.

Drop in

We provide youth and family drop-in services in various locations in Wales. We aim to provide an environment for our young people to thrive by supporting their personal, social, and educational development. If you feel you can contribute towards creating safe spaces for young people to enable them to reach their full potential, contact us.
