Stronger Together: Tackling Child Poverty Through Collaboration

Last year (2024), the Child Poverty Strategy for Wales reported that there is still a “40% likelihood of people whose head of household is Black, Asian or minority ethnic living in relative income poverty. This compares to a 22% likelihood for those whose head of household comes from a white ethnic group.”[1]  2025 is our 20th year and we are still all too aware of the life-limiting impact these disproportionate impacts have on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic children and young people in Wales.  This resource showcases some examples of promising practice we have identified in tackling these impacts, with a focus on innovation and/or collaboration.  It is designed to spark conversations and kickstart practical interventions that could support organisations, services and individuals to work differently to make a difference, both within their own organisations and with one another.
