Meg at EYST

A bit about myself:

My name’s Megan and I’m 20. I enjoy tech and spending time with family and friends. I am based in Wrexham, North Wales.

My placement so far:

My placement so far has been great. I started in January and have learnt a lot since then. My placement has been working with Judy doing Marketing and Communications, which I’ve really enjoyed. I’ve had jobs such as attending forums, updating the blog page and the research library  on the EYST website as well as updating twitter. My favourite thing so far has been creating the blogs for the website.

What I'm learning:

I’m learning all about using Canva to make graphics for the website and twitter. I’ve enjoyed using this to be creative. I’m also learning how to interview people and turn the information into a blog post. Furthermore, understanding how to make captivating posts to draw people into reading them.

Why work with EYST?

From my experience, working with EYST has been great. It’s a relaxed time full of learning new skills. Everyone at EYST is lovely and very helpful. You can go at your own pace and focus on areas that you love and want to know more about. The weekly team meetings are a great way to meet other people and have a chat. There are always forums that you can attend to gain more knowledge on a subject especially if you don’t know too much about it.

Describe EYST in 3 words:

Creative, Welcoming and fun.
