Engage

The Engage Project has been funded by Cymorth via Swansea Children & Young People’s Partnership since 2006. It focuses on providing young ethnic minorities with a holistic, culturally sensitive and targeted programme of support including in-school and out-of school mentoring, advice and guidance, family liaison, signposting and referral. Young people are supported on a wide range of issues including education, employment, health, housing and community safety. In-school support is providing via weekly lunch-time drop-in sessions, and liaising between home, school and pupil.  This is currently offered in 5 schools and 2 F.E colleges in the Swansea area. The project also offers information workshops and training, and accessible advice and guidance in the after-school drop in Centre.
