BME Voice Project
Providing the BME community with a voice to make changes to the delivery of health and social care services.
The BME Voice Project aims to engage diverse groups across Swansea in the Healthy City Agenda. It is part of a wider consortium project run by Swansea Council for Voluntary Services (SCVS) – the Community Voice Project – and is delivered in partnership with the African Community Centre and Swansea Bay Regional Equality Council.
This Big Lottery funded project began in November 2013 and is a three year project. It aims to help BME people access and influence the delivery of health and social care services, train members of the BME community equipping them with the skills and information to drive forward social care and health related initiatives that are culturally sensitive.
