EYST All Wales BME Engagement Programme – Vacancies in Newport & Wrexham

Ethnic Minorities & Youth Support Team is an award-winning and unique, beneficiary-led voluntary organisation supporting ethnic minority young people, individuals and communities across Wales. EYST have recently been appointed by Welsh Government as Lead Body for Race, and will deliver a 3 year All Wales BME Engagement Programme working across Wales. This work will engage with BME communities and organisations across Wales, capturing their views and experiences in order to positively influence Welsh Government policies, and ensure equitable access to rights and entitlements.

The following job vacancy has become available within the team, for which we are seeking to recruit experienced, self-motivated and committed individuals

  • Regional Coordinator for Newport and South East Wales – (PT – 0.5 FTE) £10,000 per annum based in Newport, within the SEWREC Offices
  • Regional Coordinator for Wrexham and North Wales – (PT – 0.5 FTE) £10,000 per annum based in Wrexham, within the BAWSO Offices

Sept Newsletter 2017

Welcome to our September Newsletter. A busy month with our youth workers getting out and about meeting new young people in schools and colleges across Swansea and Cardiff. With far-right activity in the news, our Think Project has also featured in the media this month with appearances on BBC TV and radio. We also had a fantastic staff development day with a focus on improving how we measure the impact we are having on BME people across Wales.
